About Condies PDF Print E-mail

Condies Office Condies is one of the oldest firms of solicitors in Scotland, having been founded in 1787 by George Condie, who was in practice well into the 19th century. For part of that time, he was in partnership with his son James, a founder member of the Royal Perth Golfing Society. James and his three sons won Royal Perth medals on fifteen occasions in the 1850s. An article in the Scots Magazine suggested that James Condie and his three sons were the strongest family combination of golfers in Great Britain! Whilst a keen interest in golf continues amongst some of the current partners, they cannot claim the reputation enjoyed by their forebears.

The practice has continued to evolve over the years, a sound reputation for managing local estates has developed, and over time many distinguished clients have been attracted to the firm. The reputation of the practice in agriculture and estate management continues to this day. Our diverse range of services has expanded to meet the requirements of our clients and prospective clients. However, the partners of Condies have sought to retain and build upon the solid tradition of the firm whilst embracing modern day practices and requirements.
