We have a substantial volume of experience dealing with all types of litigation and associated matters. We deal with civil litigation, criminal cases, appeals, licensing and all manner of tribunal work, including employment and benefits appeal tribunals. We provide a comprehensive service from commencement to conclusion of the case. While the majority of the case work undertaken is dealt with in Perth, we deal with a substantial volume of case work in the Tayside, Central and Fife areas and are regularly engaged in appearances in various Courts throughout Scotland. We provide a wide variety of services for clients and look forward to being of assistance.

Criminal Defence

We deal with all criminal matters. We are in a position to represent clients in connection with offences at the lower end of the scale, generally dealt with in the District Court, through Sheriff Court Summary and Indictment matters and also regularly undertake the more serious cases dealt with on Indictment in the High Court of Justiciary. We accompany clients when they are interviewed by Police Officers and will also deal with pending cases before they reach the stage of Court proceedings. We deal with a volume of Criminal Appeal business in the High Court, both in respect of our own cases, but also commonly in circumstances where clients feel that they have not received adequate representation from their original Solicitors and require the services of a Firm committed to representing their interests. We deal with Agency cases for other Firms of Solicitors and will conduct pleading Diets, deferred sentence Hearings, Intermediate Diets and in most cases, will also conduct Trial proceedings. We represent individuals and Companies alike.

Civil Litigation

We also provide a comprehensive service in relation to civil cases. We deal with litigation at small claim, Summary Cause and Ordinary Cause levels and also deal with actions in the Court of Session. The case work undertaken is varied, covering matrimonial and child law cases, debt recovery, contractual disputes, housing and landlord/tenant cases, property disputes, bankruptcy proceedings and claims for compensation or injuries and losses sustained through road traffic accidents, accidents at work or any other similar type of accident.

We represent corporate clients and individuals. We deal with private client work and offer Legal Aid where available.

Tribunal cases

We represent clients in Employment Law disputes and, where necessary, in tribunal proceedings which follow dismissal from employment or other grievances giving rise to claims before the Employment Tribunal. We represent both employers and employees in these proceedings. We also deal with a wide variety of miscellaneous tribunal proceedings including Benefits Appeal Tribunals before the SSAT.

Licensing

We represent clients who require assistance in the obtaining of Licences from the Local Authority. Again we represent both individuals and corporate bodies and can deal with the preparation and lodging of Licensing Applications and representation at Board meetings.
